Use of the Website

You may use TextFromAudio only for lawful purposes. When you use it, you agree that you will:

  • Only transcribe audio or video that you own or have the right to use
  • Not use the site to break any law or to infringe someone else's rights
  • Not try to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorized access to the site, its servers or its Pro features
  • Not use automated tools to send large volumes of requests to our servers
  • Not share, sell or publish your Pro key so that others can use it

We may limit or block access if we believe these terms are being broken.

Our Service

TextFromAudio turns audio and video into text.

Free mode runs a speech model in your browser, on your own device. It has no limits on file length, number of files or languages, and uses lighter models, so it is slower and less accurate than Pro.

Pro runs a stronger model on our servers and adds extra features, such as share links and translation. You unlock Pro with a key. The price and billing details are shown when you buy a key.

We may change, add or remove features at any time, and we do not promise that the site will always be available or free of errors.

Your Files and Transcripts

You keep all rights to the audio, video and text you use with the site. We do not claim ownership of them. When you use Pro features, you give us permission to process your content only as needed to provide the feature you asked for. How we handle your data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for the content you transcribe and share, and for having the right to do so.

Pro lets you share a transcript with a link. Anyone who has the link can read it, so only share links with people you trust. Do not use share links for unlawful, abusive or infringing content. We may remove any shared transcript that breaks these terms.

Accuracy of Transcripts

Transcripts are produced by automated speech recognition. They can contain mistakes, especially with background noise, strong accents, overlapping speakers or less common languages. Translations can also be inexact. Please check any transcript before you rely on it.

No Professional Advice

Nothing on this website is legal, medical, financial or other professional advice. Do not rely on a transcript or translation alone for decisions where an error could cause harm, such as legal, medical or compliance matters.

Intellectual Property Rights

Unless otherwise stated, TextFromAudio and its content, design, logo and code are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute or sell any part of the website without our written permission, except for your own personal or internal use of the service as intended. Speech models and other open-source components remain under their own licenses.

The website may link to other websites, such as our X profile or the sites that host our speech models. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TextFromAudio and its owner will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the website, including errors in transcripts, loss of data, interruptions, downtime or decisions you make based on the results.
